the boat is going upstream from Serbia to Croatia...

... between Belgrade and Vukovar we listening to the story of the geographical fantasy (space of identity concerns) of their people, as i focused my portraits in those 2 cities on the idea of stay/ go away /come back home.

This is also the unique recorded moment of a serbian artist - resident on board - discovering Vukovar for the 1st time.

Manele Music in Calafat, Romania, night at Mariana's brother club. Docked for 2 nights and so 1 day in Calafat, I met Mariana in the afternoon and we talked, in the same language, because we both knew spanish, no translator needed, what a joy for me to be in a face-to-face, word-for-word situation, she and I getting to know each other.

I went to visit her family and we talked about the landscape there in Romania, and Bulgaria facing us, and the bridge that Europe is building for 2010 to join Sofia to Bucarest... and Bucarest to Sofia, for a big change. I asked her about Spain where she spends 6 months a year picking olives as a seasonal migrant.

We danced with the girls on that dope track and i almost cried when we had to go back to the boat and leave the next morning for Serbia.

Toni ...au coucher du soleil, c'est merveilleux...

Viki Ca a l'air bête, mais...

Toni ...surtout si tu es avec la personne que tu aimes, c'est encore mieux. Tu peux regarder le coucher du soleil, comme ici.

Viki Oui, le coucher du soleil est très beau d'ailleurs.

Viki Mais en bas, dans le parc...

Viki J'ai du mal à me l'imaginer là.

Viki Tu peux faire un pique-nique sur la pelouse et t'allonger.

Viki En fait, moi j'aime beaucoup le "Téké". C'est l'endroit que je préfère.

Viki Et d'être avec mon chien qui court.

Toni Mais le "Téké" c'est plus loin, c'est loin de Ruse.

Viki Mais c'est à Ruse. J'aime y être avec mes amis, avec ma bande.
